Not again a new bike
My bike, my daily commuter, was stolen. Out of the department's parking garage. Thus, I'm looking for a new bike. But then, I still have older bikes. They just don't fit the daily commute so well; got them used once:
- A cheapish Gravel bike that I have no fenders nor lights to.
- An old MTB that I fitted now with a rack and battery lights.
Actually I was surprised how much fun the MTB can be in the city. I had to thoroughly clean the shifter, still it doesn't budge sometimes. Fun bike, but I couldn't do more than 20 miles with it, I guess.
The Gravel bike also seems to be good only for some leisure rides with not much to carry. First I thought I'm gonna fit fenders and a rack, but there are no real mount points.
What I'm looking for at the moment:
- Drop bar (or flat bar?) // still unsure
- 1x9 or 1x10 or 1x11 or 1x12 // didn't like the changing gear on the front on a bike I tested with GRX group set.
- Hydraulic disc brakes
- Fully equiped (or not?)
- Way below 13kg, but also way below 2k euros.
I wouldn't mind the microshift advent 1x9 group set, for instance. Sure, SRAM APEX 1x12 sounds better :)
